subscription to infinite question

Hi all ~

basically I am just wondering about the upgrade to the subscription based system. I still have until May of next year on my current license of Object Desktop. I, of course, will subscribe to the service, but if I sign up now, does that mean I begin getting charged now? Or will the $3.99 price still apply to me come next May when I am ready to renew?

I also just want to say thank you to Brad and everyone. I have been a long time customer, own almost all your games (incl. being a founder for GalCiv3 and the surprising Sorcerer King beta) and have used your software for years. I love it and even got my friend to become a Stardock customer based my use of Deskscapes and WindowBlinds. I think he also bought Tweak7. Anyway, I am a very happy customer and appreciate all the wonderful work you all do to bring us better running systems and exciting gaming experiences. Frankly, I even enjoyed my prepurchase of Elemental:War of Magic  ^_^   and have faithfully gotten all the expansions to FE:LH.

Keep up the fantastic work. I'm probably your biggest fan in Taiwan  :grin:

P.S. Gamestop has never done as good a job with the service as you did.  Glad you gave Steam key access for most of your stuff. Could use it for Demi-God (hint hint)

In my understanding,Object Desktop Infinite and Object Desktop are running paralleled,you may be charged if you did subscribe Infinite now. But,you may need official answers for that. 

 

Edit:"Object Desktop Subscription and Object Desktop Infinite cannot be purchased together." That's what I am getting at. It meant that you have to wait until May,2015 ended, then switched to Object Desktop Infinite.

Thank you, The_Gear.  I don't know when they added that, but WHooHoo :sun:   quite happy to see I can now have it on Steam! Yes :thumbsup:

But I do wonder about what Gaspershooters said. While I get that I should wait until May 2015 for Infinite, will I have to pay the $9.99 and then monthly $3.99? Or since I am a current user, just go straight to the $3.99 price-point.  really would like to know that.

What you have now is a yearly subscription,whereas Infinite is a monthly which you pay $9.99 at the first month,then  $3.99 later. But my recommendation would be,if you are happy your current Object Desktop service,then just sticked with it,you will save $3.89 which compared with Infinite  based on 1 year fees.
