Beta 2: Crashing, outdated drivers, and hidden systems

So I've been playing Beta 2 over the past few days, and the game has been crashing A LOT. I've noted several incidences. One is where I try to zoom in/out while dragging the screen. Another is after I load any game, and try to zoom out. Which basically means I can't load games. In general, the game seems to crash whenever I try to do multiple "actions" to the interface. So zooming out and then quickly clicking one of the tabs will crash me on occasion too.

Now, I noticed that I'm also getting a pop-up message before the game starts that tells me my video drivers are outdated. Well, I have the latest version of Directx (version 11 I believe). This could be what's causing all the crashes, but I don't see anything on my pc that's out of date. However, I did have to nuke my computer right before Beta 2 came out, so it is very possible that I missed something that I need to install. I don't know if this message appeared during Beta 1 for other users or not.

Lastly, something not related to game performance. I've noticed that some stars do not show up as blue dots under the fog. So, for example, when I send a scout to a place where I know there must be a system, sometimes I'll stumble upon another system along the way, one not marked by a blue dot. Is this working as intended?

You should probably go to the video card website and reload your drivers. You are using a 64 bit operating system right.

You might also want to read this post: https://forums.galciv3.com/452855/page/1/ which includes information on updating video drivers and what information to gather when reporting CTDs.

I've had one crash (and also an incident where the computer restarted itself while I was on the game, but I assumed that was unrelated), was gonna report it but by the time I got round to coming on the forum I couldn't remember what was going on that might have triggered it so there didn't seem to be much point

Does Nvidia include Palit (which is mostly-identical Nvidia hardware that for some reason Nvidia sell cheaper without the Nvidia name) for this purpose?

End of admiralWillyWilber's quote

if they weren't the game wouldn't even install
