Fence disappeared

One of my fences has disappeared,  How can I get it back???

Try right-click on a fence and 'refresh'....;)

Well, I came here to ask a question as I lost my fences too but then I started looking around and found the RESTORE option.

 

Try this:

 

Right click on your desktop and chose CONFIGURE FENCES.

On the left, go to LAYOUT AND SNAPPING

At the bottom you should have a LAYOUT SNAPSHOTS option. See if there is a picture/snapshot that looks

like it has your fences the way they used to look. CHOOSE it and choose the option to restore the snapshot.

 

Try that, worked beautifully for me.

 

All that said, now that I know I have this feature, is there somewhere, where I can back up these snapshots in case my puter

crashes and if so, how and where do I find them and is it just a question of copying some configuration file/directory

and then just copying it back to a future installation?

Thanks for an awesome program. I wish I had found this many, many years ago as I've been fighting with my desktop

layout for MANY years.
