Performance tips ?

Any way to increase performance with this system:

Phenom II x4 945 3ghz

6gb ddr2 800

Geforce gtx 560 ti

Windows 7 64bit

 

Ingame settings are all activated so far

Resolution 1920 x 1080 

4 x Antialiasing

 

As far i can tell i am cpu bound all the time. Clothmap is at 93 btw. My frames drop into the teens if i zoom out a bit just before hitting the clothmap.

I tried lots of different settings but i am always cpu bound around the 20s at least. Any secret tips for a frames boost would be appreciated.

First I would reduce or disable Antialiasing.

Disabling these in Options should help

- Character Outlines

- Other outlines

- Particle Effects

- Dynamic Shadows

 

After that I would recommend you reduce resolution.

btw, for those with a different problem (overheating because the game is not frame limited), someone suggested using Nvidia Inspector (google it) to limit the framerates.

boy, did that do the trick!

for a game like this, I don't need, nor want, 60fps all the time (especially on a vsync 60 monitor anyway).  I limited it to 30 and my temps dropped by 50%!

when you google it, you will find the latest install, as well as many youtube videos explaining how to use it.  EZPZ.

edit:

even forcing a 58fps limit reduced my temps by 40%.  the game must send signals to the gpu to max framerate even when the card is set at vsync 60.

ATI users can use RadeonPro for similar effect, although it requires you to read a bit of documentation.
