Multiplicity 3.0 broken functions (file copy, Chrome)

Hi there,

I've been a loyal Stardock friend/owner of multiple prducts including Multiplicity (since released).

Went 1.x, then 2.x (all betas and stuff). Dealt with many kind of issues and got all working fine.

Decided to purchase the Multiplicity 3.0 update. Uninstalled 2.x, installed this one... now I can't copy files!

Wait! there's more! if I have chrome open and I copy/paste text on it, freezes to death.

Copy paste works with simple text among other apps. File copy "attempts" to copy (Copying files to this Machine prompts, no progress on the status bar) and then I get a zero KB file copied.

What could be wrong? Multiplicity ports are fully open, can telnet, etc, and I have all other features working too (eg Audio, Lockscreen unlock, etc).

Thanks in advance!

I will assume you are just referring to a Seamless connection.

As a test:

-Reboot your Primary and Secondary.

-Power cycle your router.

-Disable ALL firewalls on every MP machine (including any 3rd party):

Windows: http://sd.stardock.com/sean/jingimages/2014-05-12_0945_001.png

-Disable any and all AV apps:  Eset, COMODO, Norton, AVG etc.

-With this done, create a simple empty text file on one desktop and try to copy \ paste (not drag and drop) to a Secondary desktop.  If it fails, switch the Primary and Secondary and try again.

If you still cannot, please place a ticket at support@edgerunner.com with the results of this tool run from the Primary and any Secondary with the issue:

Please still include a description of the issue in the ticket.

Regarding chrome hanging, it is worth noting there is a bug in chrome itself where if you have a large amount of text on the clipboard and right click in the url bar it will hang for 30 seconds or so.  This happens with or without Multiplicity installed.

Hi, thanks.

Yes, seamless connection, I even send raw audio without any delay nor lose.

Something is wrong here out of my environment. About chrome took this text (which is not large at all):

https://forums.stardock.com/454203

and pasted it (crash). Found also that happens with Skype as well and probably more.
