Recent saves to desktop icons not showing without refresh

Just as the post title says, ever since registering Fences (for Win7), I've been having a problem of new icons not showing without a desktop refresh. I have save to general desktop selected in settings, and that's where the files eventually appear. They just don't show without a refresh.

Is it a folder portal you are needing to refresh or to see any new desktop icon in a regular Fence (or outside it for that matter)?  What version of Fences are you running?

Properties shows it as version version 2.12.0.613. Files are often not showing on the desktop right away. Not in folder or in a fence, but on the desktop. They show after a refresh though.

I've also had occasionally had trouble generating PDFs with the desktop as the destination. I don't know if that's at all related.
