1.5 Bug - Game tends to freeze when champions have all perks

When a champion has all of the perks unlocked, the game tends to freeze between turns for some reason.

The turn button is hit and greyed out, but the new turn never arrives.

  What level is your champion?!?  I don't even know how that is possible.

It is possible Derek, with huge maps with lots of henchmen with Commander +XP%, Quests and Quest maps, as well as abuse of that Sov spell that levels up the champion for a slight reduction in hitpoints (if the reduction in hitpoints still applies).

Adds 24 "DoNothingTraits" in the unit (general) trait tree which can be selected when you run out of traits (Prevents a bug)

What bug do you refer? One can close the perk selection screen when you have all select-able perks.

I would suspect that the bug is occurring not from having all perks, but having such a massive game and memory problems that arise from that type of extended game.

Yes, you can close the perk selection screen, but you cannot engage in a new battle, you just go through the enemy unit as if they weren't there. If it doesn't happen on the first "no perk to select perk" it will happen on some subsequent one.

It was on a huge sized map. RAM consumption was about 1.5GB, so still a ways to go from the 2GB limit.

@Primal

What unit is that?

I think looking at the pic it has

- Full Titan gear with Cloak of the Stars

- What weapon?

- The war boar mount?

What is your total system RAM? Keep in mind that your video card uses some of that RAM in a sort of shared situation. For example, for my clients with a 2 GIG video card, I recommend they have a MINIMUM of 4 GIGS of system RAM, and preferably 8-16.

@Derek

Acutally it is not that difficult to get heroes or more precisely Henchmen to a level where they have selected all traits. I do this regularly. You need to team up a army full of henchmen and maybe a hero or sovereign.

Every Henchman has the bonus that gives 10%XP for the army = +90%XP/+80%XP

Three of them are Commanders with the +40% traits = 120%XP

Add the spell that gives 25%

Altar itself gives 10% XP

There is a special Altar Trait for units that gives +25%XP

There might be a item that gives +10% or +25%

Overall you'll get +360%XP and more from every fight.

Combine this with dense monsters on a high difficulty level and clear out Wildlands. You will level pretty quickly towards the end. When I play like that I usually create a custom faction that gives me the spellbooks, so my heroes have something to level after I pickes all the regular traits.

I never needed the spell that levels a hero in exchange for Sov HP and I get all the heroes in my party, Sov, 2xWarriors, 2xDefenders, 1 Assassin and 3 Commanders to pick all the traits. Of course it takes a while and I usually could end the game far before I have leveled everybody up, but it is fun to build up such a high level party.

I should also mention that with massive amounts of mana, you can spam crusade over a number of seasons. That's what I do.
