[Bug][1.5] - Tamed beasts dissapearing
I don't know if I've played as Kulan before but so far I've tamed a bear cub and a black widow and they've both disappeared from the strategic map after I've tamed them.

I am having the same problem.

It's the first time I have played a beast tamer, and it's hard to believe that a bug this BIG is still in what should be a finished and bug free game.
I didn't see this bug until 1.5
Somehow it slipped in...
Just like how the building placement rotation has been disabled. Worked in 1.4. Doesn't work in 1.5. (I find that I can't play the game until this is fixed....drives me nuts that my cities don't line up right) (also drives me nuts that hills/mountains flatten when you build on adjacent tiles...but that's another matter)
Some of the others have found out that in some cases, the code is sensitive to locations. Put code before or after and connections are lost....
Perhaps these two instances are a result of that?
SD, please include this as a 1.6 fix.
Thanks!
It is fixed in 1.6.
awesome, thanks!
I'm *assuming* this will be resolved with the same fix, but the Bandit Lord ability has the same issue.
Not positive, but you may be the first person who actually used that ability ![]()
LOL - I was trying to find something that would at least let me grab some free units without needing to worry about the "vanishing" part. I mean, sure - it's woefully underpowered when compared to beastmaster (... or pretty much anything ELSE), but I was hoping for a surprise. Of course, it wound up being a failure all around.
My recruited units don't vanish, but they stop appearing on the unit selection row in the upper left hand corner if they are without a champion or a regular created unit. I use the Beast Lord skill a lot, and in 1.5, half of the tamed creatures in a stack will be grayed out when you look at the stack. If you enter a city, the greyed out units vanish, meaning you can't pull them out of the city, but if that city is later attacked, they are there for the defense. if you let grayed out units on their own in the main map, they will not show up for selection as mentioned, but they are sitting there on the map and can be moved and used in combat.
I actually liked that mechanic in a way, it simulates the fact that you don't have COMPLETE control of ALL the creatures, with some preferring to stay in a city, or just hanging out in a tile if you don't keep track of them. The Beast Lord trait is pretty awesome with the amount of large spiders in a normal game. 4 Corpse spiders, 3 Harridans and two spell casters allowed me to take down Dellin and his force pretty easily, immobilizing them and using Sunder to kill them 130 hp at a clip.
