Unable to activate Start8

I recently had to reinstall windows 8 on my laptop now I am unable to figure out how to activate the thing.

If I click on the Unlock/purchase option in about it asks me to login...which then loads a webpage expecting me to purchase Start8 which I have already purchased! 

Also is serial number the same thing as the product key? Because I have the same issue in modernmix and I was able to get to a screen where I could input a serial key. The product key does not work here so damned if I know what this serial key thing is all about.

This whole activation thing is one complete huge utter mess of a mess.

Also got the EXACT same issue with modernmix (got them as a bundle)

I am extremely aggravated about this nonsense.

And I thought Stardock was one of the good guys when it came to this sort of thing....

The only recent activation attempt I see for you was for CursorFX Plus. The serial number is the same thing as the product key.

If you continue to have trouble, please follow the steps at http://activatebeta.stardock.com/ for manual activation.

Well finally it is activated now. But strangely entering my Stardock details today worked perfectly, unlike yesterday where it tried to make me buy it for a second time.

I am still annoyed about this, it was so frustrating trying to get it to work last night yet it appears to be entirely a Stardock  problem. When are you guys going to sort out this activation mess? Gotta image this laptop now simply to avoid this nonsense next time *sigh*.

So glad I don't run Windows 8 on any other PC where I might want to use start8, the horror!
