I know this has been asked before but I have deskscapes as my only Stardock product. I also run Windows 8.1. My problem is I can't move my folders around or drag files into them either. Is there a fix for this?
There must be, because I don't have the problem on 3 different Windows 8.1 rigs.
What version of DS? Make sure you have the most recent, and most updated GFX driver installed.
I have latest graphics driver (NVIDIA) and deskscapes8.1. I can open foldrs on desktop but can't move them so are there any thoughts on this?
Are you also running Fences?
If so, make sure it's the most recent version.
If yes, then disable fences and try to move a folder.
Im also run windows8.1 and have deskscapes installed i can move my folders freely no trouble at all.
Did you try to uninstall - download the setup file again and reinstall to see if the problem persists?

I realize this will be silly, but check and be sure you don't have the desktop locked. Stranger things have happened.
I did send them an email but thanks to RedneckDude I think I found my solution. I right clicked an empty space on the desktop and clicked on view. I needed to uncheck align to grid and all is working.
All though it isn't with every computer problem it does seem a lot of the times the problem is because of a simple setting selection. 
Twas Philly that suggested to me that your problem may be the icons were locked. Thanks, John!
