Temporarily disabling application

Is it possible to temporarily disable ModernMix using one of the methods similar to that of Start8? How can one proceed to disable the application to debug other programs?

In order to stop ModernMix you would need to stop the ModernMix service and then log out. ModernMix would then be disabled in any new accounts until you next reboot or restart the service.
