Movement speed in stars' gravity wells

I find the movement speed around stars agonizingly slow but can't seem to find a way to mod it. I've been over these and other forums trying to find out how. This hard coded? Really I just want to have the ship speed in a star's gravity well the same as in a planet's gravity well.

Ships do not move any slower in star gravity wells. The Star gravity wells are simply that much bigger, therefore it takes longer to move across it.
