can DesktopX use bandVWM?

moshi mentioned in another thread that frogboy had told him that desktopx could make use of bandvwm. I don't see any way to do this, but maybe someone else can shed some light on this for me?

here´s a snippet of what Frogboy posted at Skinbase:

quote: "There is no virtual desktop program that compete with the BandVWM object from Object Desktop (which DesktopX and ObjectBar make use of). Not only is it much faster but it allows users to drag and drop windows between virtual desktops and is extremely configurable. "

for the full thread go here: http://www.skinbase.org/msgboard.php?topicid=497 a looooooong, but interesting read

well, that may be well and good, but I've been using Alt-Desk for a long time and...well, you should check it out. It does pretty much everything a VWM should do.

yea, But I've already paid for desktopx and bandvwm. I'd rather not buy a third program that supposedly the first two already have.

hopefully it's obvious what that second sentence was trying to say.

I've never had any luck with VWM. I lost windows all over the place. Alt-Desk has never given me any problems. It's well worth the money.

i don´t think something so basic as a VWM should be payware. if you are using WindowsXP you could still get Microsoft´s free Power Toys. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp look for deskman.exe

LiteStep´s ckvwm module is free, does not loose windows, has an easy option to set windows sticky to all desktops and comes with an easy to understand documentation ... (sorry i just could not resist )
