yesterday, i went to a small local grocery that has a superb produce area to get some green and red peppers. as i apporach the cashier, i hear the teenaged gal at the register and the slightly older male bagger discussing music. they are debating whether carrie underwood or metallica is better. :) well, i'm wearing a bob seger hat so i chime in that seger is better than both of those acts in my opinion. the young lady asked me "who is bob seger?" she was dead serious. the guy putting my peppers in a bag just rolled his eyes. i'm looking around dumbfounded by her questions and the lady in line behind me pipes in "it's okay. she'll learn someday who he is"

Eh, i'm sure I could name lots of influential musicians you wouldn't know(without google/wikipedia damnit! ;) ). Besides a kid can't be expected to go to cool music university. ;P
