Hey DT...wallpapers are a bit finicky. There are many criteria by which they are judged. I can't say that I know all of them but chief among them is usability, i.e. will someone have it on their screen for X amount of time, will it be distracting, too bright and so on. Walls are not subject to any one standard and there is more than one Moderator that looks at them. They are voted on and majority rules.

   I have all of three I think that made the home page in the seven years I'm here. There are quite a few that don't make it to the galleries so you're not the only one. As for them going to your personal page it isn't as though they are being consigned to oblivion, people can still access the page and see your work and yes download them if they wish. That said there is a way you can delete them I think, I just don't remember how. So don't feel bad guy, you'd be surprised at how many don't make it and by better skinners than you or me. Even Masters have had their walls sent to personal pages, just ask them. Besides.....you're a WB skinner and a good one at that.

   Words of wisdom time......if at first you don't make it...go back and get a bigger hammer.     

Edit:  Click on your nic, sounds weird right, lol. Then on your profile > Wincustomize Site, on the right click on your skins list. There you can delete whichever one(s) you want.

They do not show up on my list !!!!Or, I would delete them.

Just taking a look at what has been typed, wallpapers not showing up in the public gallery nor personal gallery, to me would indicate that maybe the submissions never got to WC or somehow became lost, unless I'm missing something.  If that is the case there would be nothing to delete. 

I must be missing something.

The walls are in the personal galley, but not the public gallery and they don't show up in the "My Skins List" which is the only place you can delete them, that I know of. They used to show up, but sometime around the first of this year they quit appearing in the "My Skins List".

At Wincustomize's beginning there were simply 2 options for wallpapers.... 'yes' or 'no'.

To be more accommodating we later included a 'maybe' aka Personal Gallery option.  That was intended to be a less 'absolute' response to wallpaper submissions.

Now some more history.

Possibly the next-most-common website to straight 'porn' are wallpaper-hosting sites.  Wincustomize.com was NEVER intended to be yet another wallpaper site... its bandwidth was intended PRIMARILY for actual SKINNING applications - in an environment/time when many dedicated skinning sites were closing down for one reason or another.

The proliferation of wallpaper sites means two things.  There is absolutely no chance walls will cease to be hosted [somewhere] and every man and his dog seems to want to post them.

The [correct] decision was to MODERATE our wallpaper gallery to assist in limiting its scale/dominance of bandwidth use in favour of skins for Stardock's software [and others'].

Now, if a bug has entered the system where-by uploads to Personal Galleries cannot be accessed  AND people wish their removal [for whatever reason] PM me and I can remove them for you.  [It is only appropriate that the IP holder has the opportunity to manage their IP].

I've had wallpaper that did not make it I had 2 that made it. The ones that did not make it to the gallery are there if any one want's to download them. I look at it like a second chance for them. 3D art for me is just a hobby so for anyone to want to download them makes me feel kind a good. Even if it's one of the rejected ones. So I guess I look at it differently.

I really have no idea what anyone likes,has escaped me or eluded me since day one. I just go by what the mods decide I guess. They did not really like, so I figured the same true for users.
