Bug reporting tor future use

I was thinking with Stardock making a new game and all it would be a good idea to point out all the Bugs in the sandbox and campaign. That way they don't make the same mistake.

I would like u to be as comprehensive and clear and specific as possible.

This is for the vanilla game, but if there are some mods that play better u can mention how they do it. U could refer to its modding ability or its editor. If u have an idea on how to fix the bug please add the idea. U can post about some ones else post U can argue against something being a bug U can suggest a fix for a bug someone else mentioned u caN suggest more than one fix for the same bug please differentiate between bugs u heard about and experienced

if u know that a patch fixed the bug then there is no need to mention the bug, but if u don't know if the bug has been fixed by a patch then mention it.

U can compare the game to Dark Avatar

This way the designers will be able to make the next game without these bugs.

I'm not seeing the point in this thread. o_O

How does reporting bugs for GalCiv 2 help in making GalCiv 3 less buggy? The two are using completely different engines.

Even if it could help, wouldn't it be better to make this thread on the GalCiv 3 forum, where the most activity is?

Hmm, are you meaning "balancing issues" perhaps, instead of bugs? That would make more sense. My last point still applies though.

Balancing issues still would apply any way u want to intrepret it. The reason I thought of this is even though the engine might be different. The way they would go about making the game would be based on previous games. The Ai The Tech tree wou;d be brought over the races even.

I was thinking if there were problems they didn't know about they would carry over some of their problems. But if they new to not have certain things they would change that. If they had a list of problems that would speed things up so they would have time to make other stuff or make things better.

I have posted my posts on Gc 3 website the weird thing is though more people seem to answer my posts here

I think that if you want to come up with a checklist of problems that you don't want making it into GC3 that's fine, but given that the staff do read the forums they're probably already aware of GC2's shortcomings.

The thing about being a founder is that you're going to be able to give your input from the first alpha that is made available.  So if you check it out and some things from GC2 are no longer an issue, then you can strike them from the list and keep going until you find new things in GC3 that weren't even in GC2, and voice your concerns about those.  That way your feedback is relevant, fresh and just what the developers need to make GC3 awesome at realease, or very close.
