Closing apps return to desktop instead of 8 menu.

Hello,

I have disabled the option in Desktop -> Advanced to "switch to desktop after closing a modern UI application", however when I close down an app, it still returns me to desktop instead of the windows 8 menu. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong ?

I'm having the same symptoms.  Under Windows 8/Start8 1.20 this wasn't happening.  Problem arose since updating to Windows 8.1/Start8 1.30.

Microsoft decided after the 8.1 beta to make the same setting for boot to desktop control what happens when you close a fullscreen metro application.

We will investigate offering an option for the two to not be linked on Windows 8.1 if possible.

Thanks for a concise explanation of the observed phenomenon.  Hope there's a simple fix.
