taskbar

I can't see some of my pinned programs.

when i mouse over the task bar all i see is what looks like a sunrise of white light on the horizon.

blue screen capture at bottom of page, the highlight is a program that is pinned to the bar, if i right click on it, it tells me the program name

all of my pinned programs are like this

some are showing up, not all, as you can see on the link

when i minimize a program, it does not show as open on the task bar

is there a way to remove it completely and start over?
