what does this mean when you say "reset" or "all set good to go"?
Nowhere in any literature when I bought windowblinds did it talk about some kind of activation counter
the only limitations mentioned were those pertaining to upgrades after the next major release
I dont get it, is it just a cynical ploy of some kind to get people to think they need to update to the latest version?
No. There are activation limits in place. Most users never trigger them. A support ticket has been created for you on this issue. Please respond to it when it arrives in your email.

The problem is obviously caused by the fact I frequently change my ip addresss and reinstall windows on a regular basis
I work as an IT technician so I mess with computers reinstall windows change the username machine name etc
I also frequently spoof the mac address on the router to force a new IP address
but Like I said to support, you need a system of activation counters that doesnt rely on counting trivial changes like that
perhaps you could run something that taps into the hardware id's of Hard disk drives. the HD hardware id is not easily changed by anyone but the factory of origin. Certainly beyond most end users or the OEM serial of windows but its laughable that you count machine names and ip adresses as they are the most trivial of id's to change
I have created the following ticket: #VTM-666-47617 and have not received a reply yet. I need both my Start 8 and Modernmix purchases restarted. I frequently reinstalled the software on my computer and now have a maximum limit reached error. Can you please reset my account? I only have these products on one computer, may main desktop.
I updated to win 8.1 then updated Start8 to Vs 8.30 & now Start8 just doesn't work.
I haven't seen an activation limit warning or any other errors ,,,, but yesterday while I was in the park I did see a Duck with One leg.
Anyway I reinstalled Start8 1.30 but it just won't do anything,,, it's a bit like my Missus.
What should I do about it,,, other than to get rid of the Missus?
