Open Office Running Task

Here's another one: When I run, say, Open Office Writer, in the dock the running task is "soffice.bin", with just a blank generic icon. After minimizing the Writer window, clicking on the icon does nothing. I have to Alt-Tab to get it back. It is likely something with the way Open Office runs, and a minor annoyance, but still... Any one else see this?

Yes.  I've given up trying to fix it beyond associating the soffice.bin (and hence all .bin files) with an OpenOffice EXE file.  Then at least the non-functional dock item looks like what it represents.

so, this has NOT been resolved by either stardock or OO....I am having the same difficulty and have been going crazy trying to correct it.  In addition, my '0ffice.bin' is opening my win media player!!!!  So I lose the document and must open again from start.

any new ideas???
