Is there a place where there might be some newbies guide to modding for LH?
I am thinking to kick things off, to make some traits and create a new faction...

This is for FE but it almost entirely still applies. I learned to mod from this page, and just reading the Core .xml docs in
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\FE Legendary Heroes\data\English
