Copyright issue with that. However if it was "inspired by" it could get in the library. That is, just a Green and Silver skin for the Philadelphia Eagles. If I used the wings on their helmet or the "E" it would probably cross the line.

Indeed, there are trademark issues with those.
I actually emailed the NHL about it. Their lawyer emailed me back saying that the use of the logo, the name, and the colors are trademarked, and that I could not use them for anything of my creation that I would distribute.
Don't forget that sport teams make money out of their merchandise. They could decide to make skins and wallpapers and charge for it.

They used to have many team skins on the Winamp site, but I don't know if they still do.

What was that IE shell that used to be popular? Drawing a blank right now. Anyway, there were several team skins for that, too.

Dave, I was waiting for that! Maize and blue, blue and gold. The real difference is that the Michigan skin is a little off-sides at times.
