And how does it work? What does it do? There is this skinnable program for it by I have no idea how to manage multiput virtual desktops when I don't even know I have one

goto AstonShell at http://astonshell.com and look for AltDesk. There is an explanation of Virtual Desks and this is a great program. Skinnable too.
