32-bit and 64-bit
Can you operate a computer on 64-bit windows together with a secondary computer on 32-bit computer using Multiplicity?
If you need more information, my dad uses some old programs for work related research. These are 32-bit and 16-bit programs which are difficult or impossible to use on 64-bit operating systems (especially the 16-bit programs). He needs these programs for his work as they contain large amounts of data that would take dozens, if not 100s of hours to manually transfer to a new system. These programs are no longer supported and so will never be upgraded. As such he's been running his quad-core computer on Windows 7 32-bit, rather than Windows 7 64-bit to be able to use them. He also uses newer programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, etc. which would greatly benefit from using a newer operating system that can take full advantage of a modern quad-core computer.
After finding out about Multiplicity I suggested to him that he should get it and upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit to use his new hardware, and use an older Windows 7 32-bit computer he has for his older programs, using them on a second monitor. I think this would be a great solution, but it assumes that Multiplicity can be used to use two computers with different operating systems.
Can anyone confirm if this would work? If so my dad will definitely buy a copy.
