Editing Posts

Editing and post with any sort of tag is busted, I can't even edit a post with a quote without making a double post. Also, moving text in around seems to change the font or the size, and I don't even want to look at which for fear of making more double posts.

Can we please fix this?

anymore absolutely nonconstructive posts?

EDIT: looks like trying to edit a post without anyting embedded is also fracked up in IE

my only comment on this matter is that, so far in firefox I have not had any issues recently.

So... you consider any factual answer which does not agree with you as 'nonconstructive'? Hmmm...

Editing of posts has always been the domain of Admins only.

Reason being....Joe Public can go on a tirade....then 'recant' through edit...and make all and sundry look like idiots.

Solution....think before you post...and the 'edit' function does not matter to you.

Or...

If you NEED something edited...contact an Admin ...;)

Now how did I know someone would make that point.

Perhaps because it is a perfectly valid point.

I never use quote buttons, I manual tag.

Edit: Doesn't seem to bork.

This is a potentially dumb question, but are you absolutely sure you're not just clicking the Quote button right next to the Edit button, since they're smaller and no longer have text on them? I haven't seen anyone else having issues.

Thanks kyro but no, I can clearly see the mouse over info box.  "Edit Reply blablabla"

If I am the only one with issues then it is totally my problem, but it does worse with IE for me. With chrome it's only when editing a post with embed tags, with IE, the edit will make another post even if it don't have embed tags.  :(

EDIT: HOLY Crup, it works now  :w00t:

Exactly. What's so hard about accepting that? No matter what you might think or say, it isn't going to change.

That's the way it is, end of story.

What changed? I'm sure WC didn't make a change that quickly.

Hmmm.....
