I clicked on a group of skeletons to start combat and the game crashed.

According to your debug.err file, your video driver is dated 4/5/12. The latest driver on AMD's site not counting the beta is 1/21/13. Here's a link. http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/legacy/Pages/legacy-radeonaiw-vista64.aspx

Like I said before this may not be the issue, but the devs would want you to try the latest drivers.
