[0.85] Deleting Files don't actually delete them...

Every time that I delete my files that I have deleted, they come back after I exit the game and re-enter the game again... I don't know what's going on, but can someone help me out in permanently deleting my files?

Which files?

It could be a Steam cloud sync thing, try search the forum for "cloud sync" or "how to delete files".

I had the same problem. Turn off the steam cloud sync and you should be able to del once again.

It is under setting, dowloads+cloud. Turn it of at the bottom of that screen ....

' enables steam cloud sync for apps which supp it'

Hope this helps

cheers

I've done that, and was able to delete my old custom sovereigns and units.  But if I ever turn the steam cloud on again in the future, will they all come back?

Yes, unfortunately, though I haven't tested this again since .75. You can right click on the custom sovs, and remove them, and if you've made a custom faction with the same name as a previous, only the latest one is saved, IIRC.

I've got a buttload of factions I need to clear out; if this is WAD, the design is flawed. We need a permanent delete feature for all custom units, factions and sovs, if cloud syncing is going to be usable.

I find it more of a steam cloud problem more so than an elemental problem. They leave us with not effective usage of removing such items on the cloud (understandably so in some cases). If there were a simple tab of things we would like to keep vs. things we would like to remove. Especially if it is user content stuff. It's a shame that we just don't have a tick-box saying... keep keep... remove... keep keep.... and so forth. That would provide better functionality.

I know... Stupid Steam! I do hope that they'll allow us to do it in a much easier way because I want to be able to control my games in a much better fashion than to turn off what Steam is there for.
