Download GARF
I wrote GARF to deal with some issues when playing a modded Twilight of the Arnor.
To install, simply download the zip and extract GARF.EXE anywhere you want to. Run GARF and go to File > Settings and select your current mods RaceConfig.XML.
Done! So what can you do with GARF?
Backups!
GARF will always backup your customisations before it does anything. GARF provides an easy option to get to your back-ups as well.
Fix the AIPersonality in your raceconfig.
Modders love changing the AIPersonalities for races for various reasons. Unfortunately the game doesn't quite know how to deal with this. When you make an edit on the Personality tab the game will either messes up a race's dialogue by setting it to Generic or messes up the AI setting when you select the right dialogue.
GARF will help you deal with this.
Simply point GARF to a raceconfig.xml file (you do this once) and it will load the AIPersonalies so you can re-apply them to raceconfig files after customising stuff in the personality tab. Just set the behaviour the way you want it to be and hit "Fix" in GARF and viola, AIPersonalities are set to your mods settings.
Clear and Reset Customisations
After installing a new or updated mod you can use the ModPrep option to ensure compatibility.
The option ModPrep will clear and back all stock race (Terran, Drengin, etc) customizations so you have to redo those. You custom races, however, will be stripped of their starting techs an attributes. This saves you the trouble of having to redo their icons, names, story, etc.
Planned
Setting a mod folder.
Enjoy!
