[0.80] Cities building stuff I didn't ask for...

Hi guys,

something else I noticed last night, and again today, was cities autobuilding stuff. I noted a city in a game last night where a study was added to the queue without me adding it, and today an inn - both times I am quite sure I didn't add it myself, the building just showed up as under construction. Both times the queue was otherwise empty - that is, the city would have gone to 'no construction' and I would have added something myself, but instead the computer chose something new to build without my input.

I find this frustrating - stuff like city governors/advisors/mayors are OK if you turn them on, but this seems more like a bug.

Anyone else noticed this? As mentioned in the title, this was with build 0.8.

I've never had that happen, but I do know that if I double click on a city it will add something to the que then... never what you described.

I currently have the feeling that this is what the OP is describing.

This bothers me to NO END and is probably my worst frustration with the game. Double-clicking a city should NOT auto-build the top building listed in the build menu. Double-clicking SHOULD open up the City Details screen.

It's also very annoying that there is a highlight over the top build item so that if you click somewhere on the map to exit the build menu (instead of clicking 'done') the city auto-builds the building somewhere in the city. VERY annoying. VERY unforgivable if the tile randomly chosen for the auto-build is a forest tile and the player has now LOST the ability to build a Lumber Mill (since undoing the build action does NOT restore the forest).

Sigh...../endrant
