ModernMix 1.05 beta - dual monitors problem - no video on second screen

I just bought ModernMix after trying the trial for a couple of weeks, it's a great product. After seeing the release notes for the 1.05 beta I was hoping it'd allow me to watch Netflix "backgrounded" on one monitor while using Chrome/Word/etc on a second monitor.

It's nearly there, in that the sound now works fine if I switch to another app. For some reason though, the video is replaced by a red screen which covers the whole of the Netflix app. This only happens if Netflix is on a second monitor, and happens as soon as I click on another program and switch focus to something on the first monitor. If I click back to Netflix, the video reappears again.

If both Netflix and the other program are on the same monitor, video plays fine in the background. It's only when Netflix is moved to Monitor 2 that the problem occurs. I've attached a screenshot with the Netflix app dragged so that half is on the first monitor, and half on the second. As you can see, video is fine on monitor 1, but is replaced by a red background on monitor 2:

This may be a limitation of the Netflix application itself.  At first glance it looks like it uses the primary monitor as a clipping rectangle.

We will investigate this further.

Thanks, seems that could indeed be the issue. One strange aspect of the problem though is that if the video is paused, the still picture is still shown, even on the second monitor. It's only with moving video playing on monitor 2 that the red background appears when using a program on the first monitor. Seems it could be an issue with something Netflix does when playing video, which it doesn't do when the video is paused.

Just ran into this problem.  Any fix in the works?

We have made a change for the next build which may help with this Netflix specific issue.

I just installed the 1.05 release, I saw that this was added in the Changelog. The playback works fine on a second monitor when the app loses focus - thanks you for that. Unfortunately when I click on the app and it regains focus - I lose the ability to have access to any of the playback controls.

When the app is on display 1, I can access the playback controls by simply making the window active and hovering over it, the controls fade in.

When the app is on display 2, the controls work fine until I click on another app and the Netflix app window loses focus...then when I make it active again and hover over it the controls never return, I have to close out of the app.

That's for reporting that.  We have been able to reproduce it and have made changes for the next update.
