Buy 3 discount?

You should have an offer for people who want to buy several of your programs but not everything... Ive personally got my eye on 3 of them, totaling 35$, and the rest its doubtful if i would ever use, that and a 50$ price seems unappealing for the features i would be using.... (but if you had an offer for all future software for life, for 65$ or less, i would probably spring for it..)

so how about it, 3 programs @ 35% off, 4@ 45%, seems right about where i would set the marks

as it is, i think ill pass

EDITED JUST TO REMOVE THOSE UGLY SMILEYS @.@

Thanks for the suggestion. If you do not want to purchase the subscription, you can buy the apps you want, which do not expire, unlike the subscription. $35 is cheaper than the subscription, you get only what you need, and you can use it forever.

im aware i can buy the apps, just sayin there not really worth 35$ to me

also if you purchase any of the software, can that price be deducted from the purchase of the all in one option at a later time? that would be nice to

and about the licenses themselfs? is it 1 computer (once it breaks your license is gone), 1 computer at a time (if you upgrade you can bring your software with you)

or 1 person at a time (you can install them on all your personal computers/laptops)?

i like to be thorough, because i've been burned before  so sorry for the 20 questions.., 5 more actually (in addition to the unanswered one above about liscenses)

1. Does this page show everything you currently get with object desktop?

"In addition Object Desktop users get a host of other programs to enhance Windows such as Decor8, DesktopX 3, DesktopX 4, IconDeveloper, Keyboard Launchpad, LogonStudio, SkinStudio Professional, Sound Packager, Theme Manager, Tweak7, and more."

the "and more" part suggest there are other unlisted programs included... or does it mean that more are currently not included, but may be in the future?

so this doesn't cover current things that are unlisted like your games correct?

2. the License keys are independent? and can i give away the licenses to programs i don't want

3. when it states upgrades/new software for a year. Does that mean after that year, if you update one of the programs i already own, i will be unable to attain that update, or does it just mean i dont get any new software?

4. same as the above, except for single purchase (if i purchase a single item, does that 1 item come with lifetime updates, or only a year?

5. (pasted from above)

and about the licenses themselfs? is it 1 computer (once it breaks your license is gone), 1 computer at a time (if you upgrade you can bring your software with you)

or 1 person at a time (you can install them on all your personal computers/laptops)?

6. does all the software in the suite support windows 8? ifnot which software doesnt?

Sorry I missed your licensing question in the prior post. It is one per machine. But if your machine breaks, you can always reinstall. Or if you get a new computer, you can install on the new one, provided you uninstall from the old one.

1.The "and more" would be anything that we decide to add to the subscription in the future.

2. The license keys for the products in Object Desktop are all the same key. It is bound to your account so products cannot be issued to other users.

3. When the subscription is expired, you lose access to the downloads and updates. You can continue to use what you had previously downloaded.

4. If you purchase a single product, it does not expire and you get any updates that come out for it. Generally when a new major version is released, it would be a paid upgrade but you would receive a discount.

5. Answered above

6. Windows 8 ready products are on the right hand side, near the bottom: https://www.stardock.com/products/?from=nav

ok thats just about all i needed to know thanks.

you guys have one odd business model. And btw you realize that if you buy modern mix for 5$, then upgrade for 35$ (totaling 40$), its  10$ cheaper than buying the subscription flat out..

also if i upgrade from a single piece of software, to the suite, does the original purchased 1 piece of software receive lifetime updates? or does upgrading to the bundle revoke the lifetime of updates for that software?

That single registration stays on your account so you would continue to get updates for that one.

thats good to hear, so any app purchased individually has a lifetime of updates...

but you mentioned this earlier:

4. If you purchase a single product, it does not expire and you get any updates that come out for it. Generally when a new major version is released, it would be a paid upgrade but you would receive a discount.

the underlined part worries me a little, does this mean that a standalone app i purchased, will be upgraded for free up till a 'major version' comes along, then i am stuck unless i decide to buy the 'major version' to? or am i misinterpreting it, if-so please clarify?

also, from the subscription, is there a discounted way to buy a single-license for some of the software in the bundle (so that software receives all future updates for life?)

Yes. You would receive a discount on a major new version.

2. also, from the subscription, is there a discounted way to buy a single-license for some of the software in the bundle (so that software receives all future updates for life?)

Unfortunately no.

what usually constitutes a 'major new version' and could you give an example of this? (what product, orig price, what was added, upgrade price)
