Problems with Systray

When I first installed LiteStep, all my Systray icons were displayed, but now I can only see the Task Manager icon in my systray. I did my own systray and still, the only icon visible was the Task Manager. I use another theme, let's say Simplicity, and still, only the Task Manager icon.

How can I fix this? I want my volume icon, my scanner icon, my quicknotes icon...god dammit, I want my Messenger and ICQ icons!

have you ever tried StarDock software as ObjectBar or DesktopX?

Yeah, I'll do that. Gonna move everything from the startup folder (although I only got two things there) and see what happens.

Still, I found a turnaround for this problem: I'm getting a new computer Not because of the systray problem, but because they're cheap, and my old fossil of a computer needs a well deserved rest.

The one I'm getting is: Intel Pentium 4 1.5 Ghz, 40 GB HD, 512MB RAM, 48MB AGP Vid Card...for 600 bucks. Then I'll install Win98 on that one, then Litestep, and hopefully I'll have my systray back. The other one I'll use to learn C++.

moshi, I've just tried Windowblinds.

Ouch, why would anyone go back to WIN98? I'm running it and I loathe it. I have XP Pro but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet, had some memory issues when I trised the first time and it trashed my HD. Its on my son's computer and it just seems so stable. Not a blue screen or GPF yet.

Why would I go back to Win98? I've stayed on Win98 since I got it. I haven't updated, and I won't update. I loathe WinME, and don't even start with WinXP!

I find Win98 stable (yeah, the blue screens are present), but why would I update if all my programs work with Win98? Whenever I need a program that is specifically made for WinME/XP, THEN I will upgrade. Not a moment sooner.
