ObjectDock Free Position Anomaly?

I have only one app, the weather, on this dock. When I position it to the right side(center) the dock appearance is not like when I place it along the top(center). What can I do so it appears minimal like when it is on top? thank you.

Grab the bottom edge of dock and drag it up?
