How till kill a fully upgraded tec loyalist station?

Here is the senario:

I am playing with a fully upgraded(all tech) vasari rebel in a 10 player multi huge map free for all/diplomacy against hard ai(all of them)

I have crushed all who dare stand befor my mighty armada.

Then i encounter the last enemy a tec loyalist with every planet protected with a fully upgraded station.

I have send 4 full fleets and 2 stations agains it and more bombers then i care to count and it still isnt dead.

It is protected by mines, fighter and bombers(on every <curse word> planet) and i cant bomb the planets aslong those stations are still there.

So how do i <curse word> destroy those <curse word> tec loyalist station's?

On topic: please tell me how to counter it with every faction and not just vesari rebels.

Bomber + Fighterspam is your friend. Move the carriers away from any enemy fleet (moving in large circles around the gravity well will do the job generally) backed up by a bit of flak and your titan and you should be fine. Kill the constructors and supportive structures (such as hangars and repair stations) first.

So basicly kill it with bug bite's?

Ugh i hate that tatic it is so slow isnt there a more effecent way?

Anyway thanks for the advice.

Teun told you how to kill it.  There is no better way than massed carriers.  If you are playing TEC you can mass orgovs and do the job, but as vasari your bombers are your biggest damage dealers.  Feel free to ignore the advice if you want and keep smashing your "mighty armada" against it in futility.

Ok what did i do to deserve this comment?

All i did was sight at the task ahead(you try bombing 12 fully upgraded space stations to dust without getting slighly anoyed)

If you build 50 carriers and fill them with bombers it does not take long at all to clean out a gravity well.

Yeah did that.

Pity i lost to my ally displomatic victory with allied victory on......

still it was fun to see those station's being destroyed.

I so enjoy pretending that people where running to the life pods while screaming and dieing left and right:D

Still to build 50 carriers did take some time.(played on slowest setting for that reson)

Yikes.... anything slower than "fastest" feels like slow motion to me.

bombers are the best way.  carrier fleet in and keep it far from the starbase.  if vasari starbase, keep moving away from it until dead -but the damn thing could jump away.

As people have said, bomber fleet.  Best faction to do this with is Advent, as there carriers and bombers are really good.  30 or so carriers is all you need plus a full complement of battlship carriers as well, being advent those BS caps have extra wings per a ship, no other race can do that.  100+ bomber wings useally will nuke anything in exsistance within a few passes, maxed out beam damage ofc is nice.  I have done this on the noob practice map someone made here, its got one planet with all 6 titans on it, one would think that planet hard to crack.  All those bombers killed each titan in 2 passes, 4 of them never came into firing range before dieing.  You can do the same thing to starbases in multiplayer or singleplayer if you get your carrier fleet high enough.

Vasari is also good, their bombers have phase missiles that bypass shield, dealing brutal damage, as they have a chance to laugh at shield mitigation, increasing their raw damage brutally, like 100% more damage or so. And starbases have shields, so maybe Vasari bombers are even better than Advent, haven't tried it yet.

Due to shield piercing phase missiles actual damage dealt by Vasari bombers can be easily 2 times that of any other race with simialr numbers.

Fighter ranking:

1. Vasari

2. Advent

3. TEC

Bomber rating:

1. Vasari

2. Advent

3. TEC

Well, if you're playing against AI, how about using Z-axis and put a handful of corvettes on top of the TEC starbase? Note that this tactic against human players is not received well.

You got that idea from your avatar.

but advent don't have similar numbers. 2 level 6 halcyons makes almost 100 or more bombers depending on the ratio of bombers to fighters that you pick on the caps. Ten extra drone hosts makes its 130 so Vasari and Advent have superior fire power in terms of strike craft.

I would put advent on top if the halcyons level 6 ability is active. Without it I would say they remain second.

I almost never play anything other than TEC Loyalist (I like a challenge), but I know when an enemy is attacking my starbases what really gets me to sit up and pay attention is a group of Ogrovs or Adjudicators mixed in with the enemy fleet.  So if you don't want to just rely on bombers, here's what I would suggest:

  1. A carrier fleet of 6-10 units, to start softening up the target and surrounding support structures.
  2. A battle fleet with heavy units (preferably but not necessarily a Titan); move the heavy units in to soak up enemy fire.  I usually include some heavy cruisers in this mix; they may not be the most effective, but they will attract fire and they have a lot of shield and hull points to contribute.
  3. A squadron of anti-structure cruisers (unless you are Vasari, because they don't have any), to accelerate the process of eliminating all those shield and hull points.

Can the same objective be accomplished by simply spamming bombers?  Yes.  Is a mixed fleet approach more flexible for the next series of battles you might have to fight?  Also yes.  You pays your money, you takes your chances.  Have fun!

In such a situation, what I would do is to bring in a fleet, doesn't really matter which faction ur using, and move it out of range of the enemy's weapons. then essentially i just establish air supremacy and use all my SC to slowly take down the enemy defenses. It takes a long time, but it works.
