[1.20] Bug or Feature?

Situation: I have researched the tech that connects outposts with roads, the enemy has not

I noticed in a recent game that when i conquer enemy outposts in that Situation, they won't be connected by roads. Not sure if this is wanted or not.

It is kinda annoying, but instantly getting a road there would make troop reinforcements that much faster..

I think the whole road issue needs some work. Why not form it into a spell? Should be possible to set a start square and an end square, and mana/gold cost could be dependant on how long the road is. You could also make squares in other factions territory non-selectable for it.

I think the spell is a rather good idea, I also think the game still should be "able" to auto-create roads between atleast cities. :D Just to easen up the more annoying "have to" casts of said spell. I want a road between my cities no matter what :)

Currently, roads are only built to outposts when you first research the tech, and then when you first build the outpost. Capturing an outpost after you have the tech will never build a road to it. I think it would be easy to fix, so I'm assuming it's intentional.

Recently I pretty much always have my units travel with a road builder, and I build a road on every tile they pass over.

I wish there was a spell to destroy roads... not make them ;)

And a small roundabout fix is just making an outpost near or beyond the new one. It should get connected then. I usually end up spamming outposts all over the place for consulates anyways, so never noticed this problem.

Does the earth magic "raise land" destroy a road it is cast on?
