Won't install in Windows 8

from Stardock Forums

I'm trying to install cursor FX based on your assertion that it is compatible with Windows 8 but when I start it I get an error message saying that the operating system is incompatible. I deactivated my symantec sercurity - didn't help. Can you help?

I can only help by saying it works on 8, I have it on 8.

 

You using Stardock Central to install?

 

What version of Cursor FX?

Not using stardock central. Using download from cnet received from stardock. Is it because I'm using cursor fx free? When I use stardock central cursor fx doesn't show up.

The free version of CFX wouldn't be in SDC. And maybe it is the free version. i know that the paid version works in windows 8.

Am I missing something here. The extract below is directly from the Stardock Cursor FX web page

 

Perhaps the real question should be :

When will it be compatible?

How long do we have to wait?

I have it installed on windows 8 just right side click on the installer and click compatablility tab set it to windows 7 and click apply then install it. enjoy you will get a message asking if " the program is installed correctly" just hit yes. ^_^
