Hidden items shown in the start menu

I made the start up folder hidden and some other programs but they are shown in the start menu .

I checked the system to hide hidden files and they are hidden in the all programs folder but in the start menu they are shown.

Any help will be appreciated.

We will be making a change in the next update to make showing hidden entries a setting.  We made Start8 show them as it allows you to have shortcuts that do not show on the Windows 8 menu but do show in Start8, but clearly there are more people hiding folders than we had expected.

just wondering where can i find such a setting ? start8 has since default to not show hidden folder, but i would like change that. thanks!

In Start8 folder in program files you will find an excutable file called: Start8 Advanced Tweak or Start8 Tweak not sure because I am not using windows8 right now ..

When you open this tweaker you will find the setting.
