interfering with games

I play some games that take the full screen and change the screen resolution. Fences doesn't like the res change, and displays a pop-up warning and a noise. Sometimes I get only one pop-up that I see when I leave the game. However, sometimes, for reasons I haven't been able to pin-point, not only do I get a bunch of pop-ups, they force me out of the game until I close them. Let me tell you, this is annoying.

I've looked through the settings for something that might control this warning pop-up, but found nothing.

Is there a way to stop Fences from showing this warning? It is totally irrelevant under the circumstances, and I would like to stop it.

If not, I hope Stardock will add this issue to the "to fix" list.

What exact OS? What games?

Are you sure it is the resolution change that prompts the notice?  If dwm is turned off, and many games do so, you will receive a notification. Stardock is aware of this and is working on a fix.

Ah. My appologies for not including pertinent info.

Windows 7

Casual games, typically hidden object, but anything that takes over the whole screen. Never happens with a game played in a window.

Message (I think this is the same one that always comes up):

   Fences' Folder Portal feature is unavailable in classic mode.
   Please enable Aero to use this feature.

Sorry, I don't know what "dwm" is, and I was perhaps wrong about it being the resolution change.

DWM is desktop windows manger.  It's what makes Windows pretty,

Updating to a more recent version of Fences will mitigate the issue so you only get the message once (per session).

We are looking  at only showing it only once.

Checking for a newer version was not simple. I finally found that My Downloads shows me one download which is the same version that I am currently running. There doesn't seem to be an "upgrade" option in the currently running version that I access via Control Panel, and My Downloads doesn't indicate there is a newer version either.

So, if 2.01.0 is not the most recent version, I'm afraid I need someone to give me a link, as I can't find it.
