"Disable charms bar when at the Desktop" not working

Hi everyone,

 

I'm trying to disable the charms bar from appearing when you move across the touchpad from right to left but neither the "Disable charms bar when at the Desktop" nor the "Disable all Windows 8 hot corner when at the Desktop" are working for me. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions as to why this might be? Thanks very much.

Hi tlcrick,

I don't suppose that restarting the computer, or uninstalling Start8 ('all' versions that may be listed under Programs and Features in the Control Panel), and re-installing either Start8 version 1.03a (finalized version) or better yet, Start8 version 1.09.2 beta, aka 1.1 beta 2 (found here) makes any difference to your experience?

I too wonder if anyone else using the touchpad of their Notebook is experiencing what you describe.
