Problems with Acoustic Bridge and win 8 tablet

Hi. I have used AB for some time with my 2 win7 computers on my network. (cabled). Im very happy with the software and it worked out of the box. But on my new acer w510 tablet with win 8 pro, it just wont send any sound over wi.fi. The ports have been opened in the firewall. Everythings seems ok, but no sound is being transfered.  Any help would be nice.. :) thx in advance.

I'd check your router to make sure it's not blocking traffic (or specifically allow it).

I am not sure what to look for, but i can use the "play to" function in wmp with no problem.

OK. I got some connection now, but its scratchy sound, and it drops out frequently. I think this maybe a audio/soundcard issue..

What did you change?

Also, if you increase the latency on the sending PC it may get better.

Latency settings dont make any difference. I made a new service and added the default port range of AB in the router. I just downloaded a trial of  Airfoil and that worked.

There is a known issue on Windows 8 with the standalone version of Acoustic Bridge vs the version thats in Multiplicity 2.  There is an updated file internally so if you contact support they should be able to assist.

If there is a updated version of AB. Shouldn't it be available in my download folder here at Stardock? And isn't there any support guys in here that can link me a new version of AB?

End of nils5's quote
It's in an early state; still in testing.

Thx for the support folks. Got a link for the new file. Getting closer... I can now connect, but i can not hear any sound when the tablet is muted. When i check "Allow this computer to be unmuted, sound is sendt, but my tablet plays too, and that does not sound nice..lol. Did a workaround by pluggin in a mini jack in the headphone output on the tablet. Disable/enable jack detection did nothing. I can live with this maeshift solution for now.. Have a merry x-mas all. :)
