Why is support so awful ?

So I've been complaining forever how the patch system doesn't work and destroys my mount points. I submitted a note to support indicating this problem. First they try to tell me it was a temporary glitch. Then they try to tell me that I needed to change directories before installing the patch. Then they simply default the useless but normal response: It was fixed. Naturally i was stupid enough to believe them and try it with 1.1. What happens. The usual it blows away my freaking mount point and now I have to clean up my system yet again and restore the mount points. How difficult would it be for support to actually test this on THEIR system before sending useless responses ?

In case this is not clear;

 

  1. create a new directory on C: called xyztest
  2. using the link below mount an unused partition on C:\xyztest
  3. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11253-mount-drives-partitions-folder.html
  4.  now install fallen enchantress 1.02 (or 1.01 or 1.00) on C:\xyztest\[....]\Fallen Enchantress
  5. Now download the 1.1 patch. It will find the game correctly under C:\xyztest\[...]\Fallen Enchantress -
  6. This patch will fail (and given an error message that it failed). Then at the very end it will say it was successful (after telling you it failed).
  7. The partition (from step 2) will no longer be mounted at C:\xyztest. You will have to clear out C:\xyztest to remount the partition.
  8. The end.

Is this concise or do i need additional information to make it clear ?
