Feature Suggestion - Remove Pixel Deadzone

With charms and other such metro features disabled

Hi there,

Just making a feature request here today in an effort to improve the multi-monitor experience in Windows 8.

During my brief time with it, I noticed they had a pixel deadzone at the corners of the screen. When trying to drag a window over for window snapping (via DisplayFusion), this was obviously extremely disruptive and unintuiative to have to lower the mouse outside of the deadzone to snap a window onto the next monitor. This was obviously with the other standard Windows 8 features disabled by Start8 to bring a more classic experience. This may seem minor, but it severly impacts my experience with Windows 8.

My request is simply that there be an option for the pixel movement deadzone to be removed. It's implemented as a "feature" by Microsoft and can be read about at the bottom of this page - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2012/05/21/enhancing-windows-8-for-multiple-monitors.aspx

Cheers from an enthusiastic customer,
Kent

I wrote a post about that thinking it was a bug in start 8.  I almost always move my mouse to the left side of my screen and slide down to the start bar to open up the windows start menu but that doesn't work in Start 8, instead as you said, there is a dead zone that I'm apparently hitting every time that I want to bring up the start bar and use the start8 menu.

My post went unanswered :|  as they do so many times around here.  I hope they can do something to change this as it's just annoying to me to have to keep moving my mouse around to find the sweet spot to open up the start menu with start 8 installed and this Microsoft induced dead pixel zone.

We can take a look and see if there is anything we can do to workaround these Microsoft oddities

I managed to find a fix for it, pretty simple and should be able to be easily implemented into Start8 I Imagine! Just a few registry keys have to be edited from a value of 6 to 0, link to the thread here explaining:

It'd be awesome if you guys could do this as a simple feature to make it a lot less annoying for other people in the future searching for a way to fix it, by simply having the option in Start8 :)

We should be able to add that in for future versions.
