[Suggestion] How to improve defense in cities

Well, It seems that now monsters attack the AI and wreak havok in their cities too. And many players complain on wandering monsters destroying cities too.

Now, cities get 2 free militias to defend, but they are crappy, and only fortress receive some bonus.

Other players complain that an early rush to AI, even with few units, is succesfull.

So mixing all these issues, I've been thinking on how to improve defense in cities in a proper way, and they are simple ideas, but I think that can be effective:

- Buildings like Town Hall, Bell Tower and maybe Monument could add +1militia/+1archer to the defensive group.  So up to 6 more units (+2 original) its 8 units. Crappy, but better than now. The defense scales with the buildings, so it has some sense (more buildings, more militia).

- With the above, bonus from fortress buildings should be tweaked. Maybe by improving some stats (+HP, attack, dodge...)

- All Level 2 cities could automatically add a trait to those militia. For example, the +3 defense could be the first one.

- As city level grow, more traits might be added (+HP, fury, strengh...)

- Cities with walls could give a 50% penalty to movement to attacker army. This can give archers a bit of time to more damage...and one more excuse to build walls.

- Other buildings might add some other units. Conclaves could give a magician?

Well, these ideas are simple, but they could boost defenses in a natural way.

So wait... what would be the point of monster attack if they never win? The solution isn't to make city defense better, it's to make the AI clear mobs better. Same with defense against rushes, the AI shouldn't be spending all its resources on pioneers only to see them killed, they should instead be making some troops to protect their land from you and monsters.

Yes. Taking a city should be difficult, extremely difficult for anything less than a full stack of troops. The advantage should be squarely with the defender. On the other hand, the attackers should have the option of sieging a city and starving it into submission after X number of seasons (similar to how it's done in the Total War games).

I think, based on the quality of troops you presently get even a rank 4 city will get taken out by an assassin demon or something like that. I would just like the militia to get slightly better equipment as you go through the tech tree, not the best, but the second best gear. Maybe they could add a civic defense tree in the civilization tech line and tie it to built structures, then it's at least a little harder to buff your cities too much.

Personly, it's should be limited to archer and spearmen, archer should 2 to 1 spearmen to make sence in city defense, However, I think they should upgrade to leather full on archer and spearmen if it a Fortress upgrade. but if Town or Conclave upgrade, might no leather, too many footman and few archer for city or castle defense don't make sence to me.. should be more number of archer and few spearmen to hold it out just like well real world..hmmm

or could be Conclave upgrade had mage replace archer as well for fun of it..
