Greetings.

the usual causes for auto defeat in galaxyforge maps is one or more players not having a homeworld.
and you were placeing the maps in the correct locations for rebellion, BUT you did not state which galaxyforge you were using to create the map (hopefully the one in the steamapps folder and not the ancient trinity only one from the download page)

I am using the GF located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Galaxy Forge
I have triple checked the homeworld status. Both players are set with a homeworld, which is set as owned by the respective players, and with the flag Ishomeplanet set to true.
Put the .galaxy file up on pastebin or something so we can see it.
Got home, loaded the exact same map using my home computer, and it worked fine. Well, it was playable, as much as a map containing nothing but two homeworlds and nothing else is playable...
I did download the trinity GF on the laptop, and never uninstalled it. I tried to use that initially, then found the post saying it was an old version and not to use it, so I switched to the version found in steamapps. I wonder if not removing the trinity version from the laptop was the issue. Tomorrow, when I have free time at work I'll clean that off the machine and see if that helps.
Thanks for the help.

it should not make any difference as long as the steamapps one is the one that is used to make the map for rebellion.
