Can't install Trinity- physical memory??

512 MB of RAM is required. It's a crap old laptop but I have 1 GB. Demo ran perfectly. So I bought the game.

Now I cannot run install because it says it needs 1 GB of physical memory. I have 1013 MB, in total (0.99 GB, the rest is restricted for the system, I guess).

So let me just summarize... Install has higher requirements than the game itself?? How stupid is that?? And why do the developers say 512 is required when it's clearly not the case??

Is there any other way to install the game? (Honestly, I would expect Stardock to gift me a Steam version as they are not telling the truth about system requirements and I paid for the game.. but that not gonna happen.)

What OS do you have?

There shouldn't be anything preventing you from installing it. What's giving you the error, the installer itself? Where did you buy it?

It's from the Stardock online store. [..]setup.1.34.050.exe

After extracting and initialazing, there is something a blue (?) installer box appearing and then it immediately disappears with the error message: "this product requires at least 1 GB Physical Memory. Setup cannot continue."

As I mentioned, I have 1 GB of RAM; task manager says there is 1013MB of total physical memory.

(And sorry about any unjust remarks in the opening post.)

sounds like the old issue of the bios roms being shadowed in RAM, unfortunately the only way to alter this is to alter rom cacheing settings in the bios(this usually only is available in old bioses so you might not be able to) or you could possibly replace one of the ram sticks in the computer with a 1gb stick.
