Cannot get WB to skin all windows

Hi to everyone and thank you in advance
I have the latest version of WB. I am running XP pro.
I cannot get the skins to work globally as shown in previews. My favorite so far is Interceptor (blue) Thx Mike It works great on the main windows (IE: Explorer) but I get the classic view (ewe) on windows such as "display properties"
I tried this skin over at my brothers where he runs WindowsME and to my my surprise he has slightly different complications (but that's another issue) what I did discover was that his "display properties" window does skin. So, I'm wondering if anyoone has any sage advice or offerings to assist me.
I love this program.

Thanks again all AwS

Old news - Display properties is purposefully set not to skin as a protection against bad skins. There is a workaround described in the newsgroups several (like 1000 times). Apparently Stardock is going to make skinning DP an option in the future but I don't think it's much of a problem myself.

Thank you Garry,
I did look for any articals and was unable to find them. Upon receiving your feedback I have looked again...still unable to find them.
I thought it was my system since DP skinned on another OS. Ofcourse its not "a problem" I prefer ... "a mystery"
Thanks for de-mystifying.

Add SkinDisplay=1 to the [Global] section of wb.ini in your Windows directory.

Your question should probably appear in a faq if one gets developed.

GR probably answers more questions than pretty much everyone else put together. You're a great guy to have around!

Hey I have another one for the future FAQ...
Q - Why can I get Explorer to be transparent? I have it selected in WB settings.

A - You must have Windows Classic view selected in folder options. (using XP neways)

ok I have another mystery...

Why doesn't my Favorites sub-menu skin?

Hi AwSehme,

Favorites is not skinned because Microsoft did not implement it as a menu. Instead, they made it a toolbar and then reoriented it to open like a menu. This means that WindowBlinds would skin it with the toolbar graphics and it would just look aweful. So, WindowBlinds just ignores it.

P.S. I'm glad you like Interceptor.

If anyone's interested, take a look at https://www.stardock.com/support/support_faq.asp?product=7. If you can't see your favourite Q&A there, ask it below and I'll answer it there.

I have a question. WindowBlinds doesn't use the fonts specified in skins for menus. Is it me or is this something that WindowBlinds can't do as of now?

I'm pretty sure that it's something that WindowBlinds can'd do, but I can't quite remember the reason why. I'll ask the developer when I see him next.
