[.981 bug] City builds something when I double-click it

In this build, whenever I double-click a city, it builds the first building in the list as close to my mouse as it can.  Every time I double-click on my capital building, I experience this bug.  Never seen this behavior before (used to just bring up the build queue), and it is incredibly annoying having to remove something from the queue every time I double-click my city.

Cities are pretty aggressive about building buildings, gets very annoying until you get used to it.
I guess its pretty bad for new players too >_<

And it can remove squares able to have a logging camp built on them, as trees get cleared when any building is built on them, never to return. ;-)

Yeah a double click should bring up the city details.

It would be nice to not have it do this.  Perhaps an easy fix would be to have no building selected by default and make the user select one before the build happens.

Yeah, I've mentioned this one a few times. It's really annoying cause what is happening is the first click brings up the city UI, and the second click assumes you want to build the topmost highlighted building from the build list.

I definately agree that double-click should bring up the city details screen.

I strongly recommend that the build list NOT have the top item highlighted so that there is no chance of accidental builds. There are times where it is possible that an auto build covers your only forest tile, thus forever removing your chance of building a lumber mill. Scary.

Personally I consider this a bug, but I don't think the devs agree :P

At the very least, I wouldn't mind an INI file line that lets you choose whether to build the top building, or bring up city details with a double click.  Agreed that it should default to the latter.

On the same track, if you want to train something but accidently click 1 pixel below the train button, it builds the topmost selected building. Not having selected the top most automatically would help this too.

Also, please restrict the click-able area of the screen to the actual locations upon which a building may be constructed.
