[0.980] FE does not play well with other programs

When I hit Alt-Tab, the Taskbar comes up nice and quickly, but no matter what I do, I can't get any other windows to show. It seems that Fallen Enchantress is stuck in some sort of "always on top" mode.  This is unacceptable on a modern, multitasking system.

Running Windows 7 Professional, and the 0.980 build of Fallen Enchantress.  If anyone wants to see how a modern fullscreen game *should* behave when alt-tabbed, check out Orcs Must Die II.  It gets all the details right.

Strange, I have Win 7 Pro 64, and Fallen Enchantress works quite well, both in full screen and window mode.  The only time I have problems is when it plays the intro videos in full screen mode but pretty much every game that uses a third party player does it.  Hell, compared to the Total War old games (which I still play) everything seems like a mild annoyance.

I can run FE and ALT+TAB to the main screen in WinXP.  It's not a good idea to do with anything so RAM-intensive, but I can do it without problems.

I play the game in windowed mode and watch TV while I play. Never had a problem running itunes, hulu, and FE all at the same time.

OK, so whatever it is, it's not a general issue but appears to be specific to my system.  How can I gather more specific information to aid in debugging? Because I do a lot of multitasking, even while playing games, which makes the current build of FE unusable to me.  Any replies from Stardock staff would be most welcome.

Yes, but you also sacrifice small animals to Bill Gates, and have created an Evil Midget World-Conquering Mite tribe.  I need hardly add that this grants you special powers.

It's not a finished product, and I don't recall seeing the Stardock team comment that multitasking was possible while playing.  It's still got memory leaks, and I even had a BSoD recently while playing.  Consider perhaps waiting to ask for help until the product is done.  They're not supporting it at this point, for understandable reasons.  Just my take, mind you.

Run 32-bit XP and never had a problem with FE and other programs. Alt-tab all the time without any crashes.

I do have dual monitor though, and when I alt-tab the first time after loading the game, my scroll right no longer works when I mouse over, as the cursor floats over to my other window...

They prefer to be called Minions. Or at least I assume so. I sowed their mouths shut to prevent them from smiling.

I see this too, but only sometimes, really annoying, especially because I run random vids in the backgrounds, sometimes youtube shows me comedian shows, sometimes its music, in general I want to be able to alt-tab out to change them when I want to.

Running windows 7 home premium, 64 bit, 6gb ram, and some weird processor and probably an even weirder graphics card :P
