Overall the font is better than before.
However, in many areas like tatical or quest pop-ups there is an italic aspect added in. This is MUCH harder to read than non-italic and I respectfully request that that italic be removed.
Anyone else experiancing the same???
Yeah the new fonts are great, but the italic part is difficult to read.
Same here. Either greatly reduce the italic effect, change the font, or get rid of it completely. I'm sure the goal was to make it look more similar to hand writing, but instead it's just hard to read.
(I just italicized my thoughts above to emphasize my point)
Overall the fonts are wonderful. Note: I never thought I'd ever make that statement about a strategy game in my life. Stardock, you're amazing.
'hand writing' effect is a BAD idea. I want to be able to read what's on the screen and that should be done in a legable manner.
Can we have some stardock comment on this one, as several have the same concern??

I found the new tactical display font pleasant. It is quite legible despite being italic.
On the other hand, the opening lore book font is unreadable. Furthermore, in the first 30 seconds of starting a game I was bombarded with at least four very distinct font styles (lore book, empire founding narrative, spell book, hud ui). It definitely had a "USE ALL THE FONTS!!" feel to it.
Would be good to see the fonts unified somewhat, especially now that the awesome fancy serif font is properly kerned and very readable at smaller sizes.
[edit: To clarify, I think the new font rendering looks great and really adds polish to the ui. Now just find a typography geek to bash those styles into shape :)]
Funny, I thought that looked like crap when I saw it too, although I really liked the flavour, a less hand-written font and a more easily read font would be nice.
I still do appreciate all the font changes, and slight colour changes on option boxes etc. really gave some OOMPH to the graphics

I'd also like to see italics gone. The new fonts are great in general.
That said, on my HDTV at home, the new fonts make + and - look REALLY similar. I think it's a side effect of the resolution and anti-aliasing. Very minor, and probably quite rare.
