rip site (again!!)

This site was actually in the news yesterday (Friday 30-5) for beeing caught for distibuting ripped DVD movies. So I decided to drop by the site to take a closer look at it..... and to my great fear I found alot of my skins there NOT submitted/permitted by me! I also found alot of other skins there which I know was not submitted by original authors!! And they even have the nerve NOT to give any kind of kredit to original authors!!

It appears that you are displaying numerous skins on your site originally created by authors other than yourself.
Although images and skins are freely available for download on the Internet, they are EXPRESSLY for personal use, which does not include the reproduction and redistribution of them via another site such as yours.
The modification, and/or re-distribution of an artist's work without his/her express permission is in violation of the Artist's Copyright, and is pursuable in law.

Whether these skins/images link to the original artist's site or not, or whether the Original artist is credited or not, without prior permission to display such, you are in violation of inherent and/or expressed copyright.

I strongly suggest you remove any such works for which you do not have permission to display, and minimize the potential for litigation against you and subsequent claims for loss.

The site isnt a dutch site JAFO...About copyright a question...Does the copyright of work that is hosted/displayed solely by WC/Stardock so that they can sue people if they feel their content shouldn't be displayed or do I possess the copyright and can I sue those rippers? heheheheh

Just to your information Paul: The site is in Danish.... not that it will aid you in understanding the text, just some useless info
